Trout Roe Butter recipe: This recipe works well with just about any caviar but salmon and trout roes are more affordable and stand up well to blending. Gently blend together one stick of softened, unsalted butter and one ounce of trout roe in a medium-size bowl. Form into a log and refrigerate until firm. When served allow the roe butter to sit out at room temperature so soften to a spreadable consistency.

Best PVR in the world, and often better than sturgeon caviar
I buy this every year. Regardless of whether I'm getting sturgeon roe or paddlefish or salmon, I always buy the French trout caviar. Wonderful, sweet, stand-alone eggs with a fine pop.

The Best
I enjoyed the taste and texture. The price is right. The only complaint that I have is that all 4(four) 80g jars that I received on 10/27/2020 where expired on 10/21/2020 according to the label placed on them.

Fresh & tasty
These were one of our favorites. We found them to be very fresh and clean tasting. The roe was bright and glistening and rolled delightfully off the roof of the mouth.

Lovely Taste
Among lower cost caviars this is absolutely tops. One should not compare this with a fine sturgeon caviar - it is just a different thing which can be enjoyed on its own merits. I has a beautiful color and firmness and the flavor is perfectly salty-sweet. One cannot beat the overall appeal. Enjoyment per dollar is beyond all expectations!
