Really impressed
Way better than I had expected. I bought it once from a deli in NYC and wasn't impressed but I thought I would try it again. I was afraid it would be fishy and mushy but it was really great. I plan to order another for Christmas time. Thanks

Too dry
I love the salmon here from Daniel Boloud so was eager to try the sturgeon. Despite the highr price I was disappointed by the product (from Acme in Brooklyn). Way too dry and salty and far less flavorful than top quality sturgeon I have had before. Suggest a supplier other than Acme if you want quality that matches the high bar set by the salmon here.

Great stuff, but wrong weight
The fish is very good, exactly as expected. Fresh and tasty. No bones (somebody disliked bones in another review).
However, the weight of each piece is far below 1.5lb: I ordered 5 pieces, the average weight was 1.32lb, one piece was 1.1lb.

Yummy, yummy smoked sturgeon!
I've been coming to Solex Catsmo for the salmon for a while now, but I thounht I should definitely try the sturgeon. Very, very pleased: it's got both great flavor and excellent texture, and -- once you figure out where the bones are -- easy to carve. I only wish it were available either a sliced side, or in smaller -- say one pound -- quantities, as is true of most of the varieties of the smoked salmon. As an alternative, they could just remove the spine and attached bones. Highly recommended.
